Kissenberth

The man with the funny name. To be precise: Mathias Kissenberth, born in Bregenz in 1987. After a provincial childhood, school and the well-known rural, reckless yet rather fun teenage years, one thing was clear: it had to be film.

New York, New York

In 2012 it was “off to New York City”, where I completed my film studies at the New York Film Academy.

Los Angeles, the City of Angels

…or so they say.

For five years I worked in Los Angeles as a screenwriter and director. I was lucky enough to work with and learn from industry greats such as Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, War Dogs, The Day After Tomorrow), Julie Herlocker (The West Wing, Grimm, Las Vegas) and Jeff Dowd (FernGully, co-founder of the Sundance Film Festival).

But you can have enough of even the best things. So home eventually called me back, and in 2019 I set up on my own as a copywriter and filmmaker.

Writing is in my nature, as the length of this bio shows. I write everything. German and English. Advertising copy, brochures, blogs, flyers and any other form of communication made of letters.
